    The Kiwi is a unique and curious bird:  it cannot fly, has loose, hair-like feathers, strong legs and no tail. Native to New Zealand it has become it's national symbol.
  • Iconic Australian bird, they are naturally curious as well as highly intelligent.  Their distinctive raucous call can be very loud.
  • Always such a delight to see a turtle swimming in the sea.  They have adapted to life in the water and except for the time they lay eggs, turtles spend their entire life in tropical and subtropical waters where they hunt for cephalopods, crabs and jellyfish. The turtle is one of the longest lived of all animals. They can live well past 100 years!
  • Frogs adapt and transform and can take great leaps to get ahead. This cute little frog is critically endangered and only lives in the alpine areas of the southern highlands of New South Wales. Hides from its predators by tucking itself in and blending in with the surroundings.
  • The Pteranodon is a genus of Pterosaurs which included some of the largest known flying reptiles with wingspans over 6 metres.
  • Triceratops is one of the friendliest looking dinosaurs
  • Spinosaurus is the largest of the carnivorous dinosaurs and even though it is thought to be the most dangerous dinosaur it has spines growing on it's back as protection.  How do you protect yourself?
  • Carnotaurus is known to be one of the most dangerous of the dinosaurs
  • Stegosaurus is a slow plant eating dinosaur and defended itself with its spiky tail and plates on its back.  A little cutie with a tiny head.

  • Found in North Eastern Australia the Muttaburrasaurus has a strange snout and is believed to be a herbivore with strong back teeth designed to eat tough plants.
  • A fierce meat eater, Tyrannosaurus or more commonly known as T-Rex is one of the more well known Dinosaurs.
  • Salties are the worlds largest crocodiles.  With powerful jaws they are ferocious predators attacking with great speed.
  • Scorpions have very poor eye sight and catch their prey by detecting vibrations in the ground.
